Clergy Messiah Lutheran Church was organized in 1956 as the first Lutheran congregation in the Valdosta-Lowndes County area. The Mission Board of the Florida-Georgia District of the LC-MS called the Reverend Victor A. Constein as developer/pastor. The name Messiah was selected by the charter members because this title distinguishes Jesus Christ as God's "anointed Savior" for all people of all time.

Today Messiah Lutheran Church reaches out with the heart of Christ to the region of south-central Georgia and north Florida communities, to those in the Armed Forces stationed at Moody Air Force Base, and to the faculty and students at Valdosta State University.

If you are searching for a church home, we invite you to our visitor friendly Holy Communion service at 10:30 AM. We also invite you to our children and adult Sunday classes that meet from mid-August through May at 9:15 AM. We look forward to meeting you soon.
